Poynter Sheet Metal ranks safety as its highest priority. We strive to achieve zero incidents on all of our projects. Our Safety Director enforces a comprehensive safety program and directs Poynter Sheet Metal supervisors in the field.
Our slogan, "think safely...then act safely," sets the pace for our program and our EMR continually shows improvement. In the past four years Poynter Sheet Metal's EMR has improved from .77 to .52. These efforts can be attributed to maintaining an effective written safety program, training the labor force to recognize hazards and rewarding our employees for safe work through our safety incentive program. Poynter Sheet Metal has given the safety director full authority and resources to implement and manage the safety program. The safety director audits the performance of job-sites regularly through coordination with superintendents and foremen.
Our safety program is Metro Indianapolis Coalition For Safety (MICCS) Certified.
